The Best Pulls of the Week – Week of 4.18.22

There were some epic pulls last week! We have a throwback pack that includes a Moses Malone 1979 Topps.

1. Wander Franco Green Refractor /273

This pull left the Breaker speechless, literally, right before he proclaimed it would surely be the Stryker Breaks Hit of the Week (Unofficially). He went on to say “We’re talking thousands” when referring to the card’s potential value. The card in question is a Wander Green Refractor, and it was a looker. Numbered out of 273 and pulled for Trevor, this hit surely made his night or WEEK.

2. Azeez Ojulari Signed Mini Helmet

Score one for the G Unit! Can this young, hopeful Giants Linebacker fill LT’s shoes in New York? We’ll soon find out, but in the meantime, he is wearing them. With 8 sacks last season, Ojulari was a standout amongst an otherwise lackluster Giants’ Rookie class, according to the NYG coaching staff. One thing is for sure, we love these Gold Rush Mini Helmets, and Wolfe’s has em!

3. Moses Malone 1979 Topps

The throwback wax pack got cracked by the Breaker with the Black Hat.  Goggles were on and vintage packs were being freed from their slabs. Just like Moses parted the Red Sea, Just Rip It parted the Red (1979 Topps Basketball) Pack and behold: Moses Malone. The 2001 Hall of Fame Inductee is one of 27 HOFers in the stacked 132 card set.

4. Chris Duarte Panini Contenders Rookie Ticket Auto

This Contenders Rookie Ticket on-card Auto was one of many hits in this 4-box DACW 30 Spot Random Team Break. Duarte is a Canadian-Dominican straight from Oregon, and even won the NABC NJCAA Player of the Year title in 2019. Duarte was a good pickup for the Pacers and for this Random Team. The new Contenders is beautiful, each card looks like a game ticket, and ticket themes run throughout the set.

5. Julio Carreras 2021 Bowman Draft Sapphire /15

The Bowman Sapphire set is awesome and so is the 2021 Draft Class. Sam of Layton Sports Cards could have pulled a Julio Rodriguez, Spencer Torkelson, Bobby Witt Jr. or dozens of other prospects. What’s great about the Sapphire set is that each color parallel has a different number. So this 1/15 is surely a Gold. This was a Personal Break for Jason G so the Carreras was all his.
