The Best Pulls of the Week – Week of 3.21.22

CardBreaks.com is back with 5 of the sweetest breaks from last week! Don't miss Coffee Breakers' star-studded 2021 Pro Set Baseball break and more exciting pulls!

1. 2021 Pro Set Baseball Maddux Bruns Auto

Pro Set cut right to the chase with their 2021 Baseball series. 3 Autos in each box, separated in the boxes, so Coffee Breakers cut them all open and broke them with ease for the viewing audience. It was a Team Break, so there was no need to be orderly. Although Maddux Bruns is the first high-school, left-handed pitcher taken by the Dodgers in the 1st round since Clayton Kershaw was drafted 7th overall in 2006, we highlighted him in this epic break for another reason: He was the last of the 60 Autos. There were so many prospects pulled; just a few of them were Bubba Chandler, Matt Nelson, Russel Smith, Jake Fox, Christian Santana, Izaac Pacheco, Jaden Hill, and William Bergolla. Another note from this Team Case Break, only five teams did NOT hit!

2. 1976 Topps Basketball Pete Maravich

Pete Maravich’s legend is based on his work ethic. And, well, his cards are working overtime, going up in value consistently since Pistol Pete’s time on the court more than 40 years ago. This card, pulled for Leon, features Maravich on the New Orleans Jazz, which reminds us of how old these cards actually are and that the Jazz once played in a city much more befitting for their name. Pistol Pete’s Rookie card was in 1970, and JRI happened to have a 1970 Topps Basketball Break last week (No Pistol Pete was pulled, however).

3. 2021 Topps All-Star Rookie Cup Julio Franco Auto

Topps’ new All-Star Rookie Cup set is a part of their 70th Anniversary Celebration. They spotlight the history of the famous Topps All-Star Rookie Cup we know and love with this all-new set, highlighting some of the most notable winners of the past and current high-caliber nominees. We all used to emulate Julio Franco’s unique stance when we were kids; we also wanted to emulate Blowout TV’s Franco Auto pull when we saw it. This Auto is a throwback to the Topps 1990 set. The image on the card is a variation of the card from 1990, but it’s way cooler (seriously, Google Franco’s 1990 Topps card).

4. 2020 Topps Baseball’s Finest Flashbacks Mike Trout PSA 10

Dave and Adam’s Card World didn’t just pull a Mike Trout Finest Flashbacks card from a 2020 Topps Baseball’s Finest break. No, no. They broke it from their world-famous Hit Parade Mike Trout G.O.A.T. Break series. Each card is sealed, graded, and a Trout. This one happened to be a GEM MINT 10! Quite a hit amid a Hit Parade, and always a good feeling to know you’re going to hit a Trout!

5. 2021 Immaculate UFC 1 Zabit Magomedsharipov

The great part about breaking UFC cards is that Breakers are forced to think outside the typical card box (pun intended). The usual Random Team, Pick Your Team, and Random Team Breaks don’t work for MMA. How about Random Weight Division? Featherweight was the coveted weight class with this fresh Zabit Magomedsharipov Jersey pull. A 1 of 2 with a BIG Reebok logo front and center.
