The Best Pulls of the Week – Week of 1.31.22

Here are the top 5 pulls of the past week that you won't want to miss! We have a 2021 Panini Flawless Roger Maris.

1. Joe Burrow Green Parallel

This Green “Hyper” Prizm, as the Breaker described it, is a winner at first glance. The centering is not perfect but the card numbered 73 of 175 was pulled for Tyler by the Real Breaks team. A “J Sheisty” Base Card was pulled shortly after, but the Green Hyper version got us way more hyped. It’s been a while since we’ve seen the 2020 Panini Prizm set broken, but it was good to see our new/old friend again.

2. Ruben Ibarra Autograph

The soon-to-be Sophomore showed up with his signature intact in this Bowman Draft break. Cincinnati’s 1st Baseman is celebrating in the photo on his card, and so is the lucky breaker that won this Auto. The future is bright for the Reds star, and so is this Prizmatic number 10 of 99 Bowman Draft Auto card.

3. 2021 Panini Flawless Baseball 2 Box Case Pick-Your-Team Roger Maris

Flawless is loaded with relic and memorabilia cards. However, this one stands out amongst a highly sought-after set—the main reason: History. Roger Maris hasn’t stepped onto a baseball field for the better part of a decade, but he gets to be a part of this impressive 2021 set. This is a card Yankees fans, baseball fans, and card collectors can all appreciate.

4. James Gandolfini Superstar Swatches

This memorabilia card is not one where you’d want to “fuggedaboutit.” From the Superstar Swatches collection of the 2021 Leaf Metal Pop set, this card contains a piece of Mr. Gandolfini’s wardrobe. The recipient now owns a piece of mob history, as well as a piece of television history. The Leaf Metal Pop collection is known for its autographs, but a relic card like this will make you feel like a real gangster.

5. Paul Goldschmidt Memorabilia Card

This is not your average memorabilia card. This card contains what looks to be a piece of Goldy’s cleat. In a box that contained tons of autographs and special cards featuring legends of the game, this card stood out literally (the card was spotted by Breaker Joe as soon as he opened the box) and figuratively. Goldschmidt’s bid to become a Diamond Icon is still underway (this is a Preeminent Pieces Relic Card)  as his career is still very much active, even though I think he’s going to need a new set of cleats for the 2022 MLB Season.
