Top Breaks to Buy Into – Week of 10.18.21

Buy, break, repeat. Here are the Best Breaks to Buy into this week.

1. 2020-21 National Treasures Basketball

The NBA season tips off tomorrow night! With HOOPS fever about to heat up, Jaspy’s Case Breaks has a high-end product coming up. National Treasures basketball is probably the most sought-after high-end product next to Flawless. The appeal of pulling a logoman is just too tempting. For example, the Luak Doncic one of one autographed logoman from 2018-19 sold for 4.6 MILLION bucks. Some logomans can bring huge sales. Jaspy’s is putting out a four-box case break, pick-your-team at tiered pricing.  Each box of NT has 4 autographs, 4 memorabilia cards, 1 printing plate, and 1 base or parallel card.  With a four-box break, you’re looking at 16 autos! The tiered pricing can be expensive, but is a steal if you’re more into collecting than hunting for huge rookies. Example – the Pacers are just $99. Get your spots HERE.

2. 2021 Topps Finest Flashback

Nothing beats nostalgia in a break. Topps released a Finest Flashback product with a design that mimics the cards from 1994. Just imagine going back to 1994, looking for a pack-fresh Griffey Jr. to show off on your lunch break in 6th period. Each box should have 18 packs per box with 5 cards per pack. On average, 1 refractor should be in each box, too. Another throwback to when refractors were 1 per box and not every other card as it seems to be with almost any new products! Blez is doing a two-box, random-team break for you just in time for the Championship Series as we gear up for the World Series HERE.

3. 1958 Topps Football Set Break

What we love about vintage cards is that the stats on the back of the card won’t change; you know what you’re getting. No gambling on rookies that may or may not pan out, right? 1958 Topps holds the rookie card of Jim Brown, perhaps the greatest running back of all time. Vintage Breaks has a set break of all 132 cards in the set, and the Brown is graded SGC 4. The last SGC 4 sold for $2,849.88 in September. That’s the card you’re looking to land on for $55 per spot HERE.

4. 2021 Bowman Transcendent

Dropping on October 20th is Bowman Transcendent! Another high-end product with an invitation that is second only to a Willy Wonka Golden Ticket! Each box of Transcendent has the following:

• 1 complete set of base cards (50 total cards)

• 30 Autographs numbered to 20 or fewer and includes two 1/1 cards

• 1 1989 Bowman Superfractor Auto that is a 1/1

• 1 Bowman Icons Deco Gold Auto 1/1

• 1 Through the Years Autograph of either Alec Bohm or Wander Franco 1/1

• 1 Oversized Cut Auto 1/1

• VIP Event Invitation

Layton Sports Cards has a Random Spot for $554.99 HERE. The 50 card base set counts as 1 spot, so there are a total of 36 spots; you won’t skunk! The 1/36 odds at that VIP invite is NICE. There are only 100 invitations to a VIP party where Topps says you can “enjoy an experiential evening alongside some of baseball’s most promising future stars.” The full checklist can be found HERE.

5. 2021 Leaf Pro Set Memoirs

The NHL season is underway, so we went looking for the best hockey break, and we think this is a nostalgia break with your name all over it! The set has designs from the old 1990-1993 Pro Set Hockey sets to bring you back to when you were a kid – only this time, there are some adult hits you want! Each box has four cards: 2 autographs and 2 buy backs. How fun would it be to pull something like a 1989 design auto of Mark Messier? The Break Exchange is doing a Random (so no skunk) for $52 per spot HERE.
